We want every listing to be accurate. Here's how to get something fixed.

Details a care home added

Photos, prices, services, openings, the public phone number, and the current administrator can be changed by the home itself. If you run the home, claim your listing or sign in to update it. Changes show up right away.

Details from the state

License status, capacity, licensee, inspections, and citations come from the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). We show them as CDSS publishes them and can't change or remove them ourselves. If a state record is wrong, contact your CDSS Community Care Licensing regional office. When the state's record changes, we pick up the update within about a week. You can check what CDSS currently shows on any home's official report, such as this example report.

If the state record lists an administrator who no longer runs the home, the home can show its current administrator on the listing instead.

Mistakes we made

If we've shown something that doesn't match the state record or what a home told us, email us with:

  • the listing's web address,
  • what's wrong and what it should say,
  • how you're connected to the home (owner, staff, resident, family, or other), and
  • a document or link that shows the correct information, if you have one.

We aim to reply within five business days. If we agree something is wrong, we fix it and note that the page was updated. If we disagree, we'll explain why.
